Your Boots on the Ground Experience will support projects to aid Anti Poaching units that help protect endangered wildlife.

 

Your holiday or vacation experience will help cloth, feed, equip and train Rangers.  We partnered up with this project that utilizes horses to show a presence on the reserve. Our presence is seen as a threat by poachers, so in essence, our presence is used as a deterrent to poachers.

You will be taught the basics of tracking and bush craft to point out some of the knowledge Anti Poaching rangers have.

​

You will go through briefings and teachings explaining what Anti Poaching means, the problems we face here in South Africa. 

​

You will go on bush patrol walks.

​

Depending on temperatures (it can get pretty hot and humid in the African bush) you will have time to relax at the pool and stable area.

Most activities will be early morning and later afternoons.

​

One night (2 nights for the more adventurous) you will overnight at a Bush Camp ( a Braai /BBQ area with a Rondavel and loads of space for camping stretchers. Amenities include a toilet and bucket showers

 

Additionally y ou could go on a "Bush Skill Walk" with one of the most experienced rangers  to get a better understanding of what they Rangers look for.
