My Animal Experience
I have grown up with and cared for a large variety of pets; dogs, cats, birds, horses and other livestock (goats, bovine). I will always be grateful to my parents for allowing me to bring home countless injured, orphaned and stray animals. The wild ones we would heal back to health and return them to their natural habitat. The rest, well they ended up staying to fulfill and enrich our lives. Animals have taught me a great deal about myself, as well as what made them happy.
I have experience in Shutzhund training which working dogs and sporting groups use for obedience, tracking and protection. I adopted a Belgian Malinois that was never socialized as a pup, in my opinion one of the cruelest things you can do to any dog breed. She was stranger and dog aggressive and we had to work through a lot of anxiety. She has come a long way in 7 years and is my shadow and guardian.

House / Pet Sitting
I come to your home and stay with your fur babies while you are away. I feel this is really important for your pet to be uprooted and stressed as little as possible. We all know that they know something is happening when we start packing which can stress them out. When I stay at your home I stick to their normal routine as much as possible so that they do not feel stressed.
How do I book a stay?
The best and quickest way is to text me at 404.941.5705. My response time is normally within a couple of hours.
You are also welcome to scheduled directly through Rover, however Rover does charge additional fees. Many new pet parents do their first booking through Rover to see if we work out for each other. Repeat bookings can be done directly through which avoids additional fees.
So I booked the stay, now what?
Once the dates are confirmed I feel it's very important to schedule a "Meet and Greet" with each pet parent before they leave. This way pets and their parents can meet me, we can introduce ourselves and become familiar and comfortable with each other. I know first hand how stressful it can be when you go out of town and have to leave your pets behind. During this time we talk about your fur baby's needs and what you expect of me during my stay with your pets.
During my stay with your Fur Kid/s
I ask all pet parents to leave very detailed instructions about the feeding times, routines, their likes and dislikes, what might scare them etc. Instructions also include emergency numbers, vet number and/or emergency clinic. One of the most important things for me is to follow pet parents' instructions meticulously!! It is very important to stick to the routines your pets are familiar with, the toys they like to play with the most, treats they enjoy, and in certain cases, the TV shows they enjoy (yes I have had cat parents designate a channel to their kitties). I am here to make them feel secure and comfortable . You can also expect daily updates and many photos.

House/Pet Sitting
$65 per night
$60 for stays 7 nights or longer
**EXTENDED CARE**
Nightly rates are based on a 24 hour time period from drop-off to pick-up. The following extended care rates may apply for each pet on the booking if the end time on the final day of the stay is more than 2 hours later than the start time on the first day of the stay. This ensures that sitters are compensated for their additional time.
2-6 additional hours: +50% of the nightly rate.
6+ additional hours: +100% of the nightly rate.

Additional Service on request
This might include taking care of your garden, repotting Orchids, or picking mail up from a postal box (i.e. not delivered to your home), etc.

Our cats are our kids, and Edi just puts our mind at ease when we have to leave them. She is definitely "The Pet Whispera." She is absolutely amazing with animals and any living being. I've known Edith for over 15 years. She is very dedicated to the welfare of animals and understands their needs at a deep level. Edith engages with each animal in her care, and she is very observant about their condition and their needs. She took care of my elderly Persian Cat, Emma for years. As Emma was declining in her old age, Edith administered Emma's medications, even though Emma was difficult about taking pills. Edith gave me updates on her condition daily, noting small changes in Emma's disposition and behavior, which turned out to be strong indicators of how well or poorly Emma was doing. Edith treated Emma like she was her own cat, and gave me piece of mind as Emma's health faded. You can trust Edith to truly care for your pet when you cannot be around.
